Russian Roulette by Helen Bang

A gay man plans an affair whilst his boyfriend is away but things go awry when his adoring but homophobic oligarch father pays a surprise visit.

A Different Drum by David Cosgrove

Mild, meek, Katherine has lost her joy, and thinks she can find it again by trying, among other things, fire-walking, belly dancing, building a sweat lodge in the back garden, and joining a drum circle. When Katherine invites Hattie round for a drumming lesson, Katherine and her husband, Greg, get their lives turned upside down.

‘Consistently hilarious and surprisingly touching, genuinely one of the best comedy plays I’ve seen in years.’ Donald Cameron

‘Anchored by rich and relatable characters, A Different Drum is a laugh out loud comedy that genuinely left me wanting more.’ Kevin Walls

‘Hilarious. Poignant. Heart-warming. Every line expertly delivered in Different Drum resonated on a real human level that left me so immersed in the play, I forgot it was a mere spectator. A pure delight from start to finish, the whimsical yet genuine comedy perfectly distorted the recognisable realities of marriage, mental health and human connection just the right amount to make you belly-laugh and then say, ‘oh god, is that me?’ Laura Thomson

‘A Different Drum has a fine, well structured script with witty dialogue and outstanding performances by all three cast members make it a very enjoyable play to watch !’ Brian Halley

‘Go and see A DIFFERENT DRUM. It stars Libby McArthur and was written by David Cosgrove and it is a belter of a good night out. Beautifully written, it’s poignant and touching and laugh out loud funny. It’s an excellent vehicle for Libby, full of warmth and vulnerability and perfect comic timing. Someone should make her a national treasure.’ Ann Marie Di Mambro
